The Knot | Spring 2013

I’m so proud to share the latest cover of The Knot, shot by Elizabeth Messina.  It’s the Fashion issue no less!!  We had two lovely models from Wilhelmina in the beautiful daylight space of Smashbox Studios with Steven Moore on Floral design, Catherine Sheppard  on wardrobe styling, and amazing props from Found Vintage Rentals.  Below are a few outtakes from the shoot, and check out Green Wedding Shoes to see more shots and commentary from each of the crew members.  See the  full editorial in the magazine, it’s on the stands now!

THE KNOT

This lovely editorial and cover for The Knot {Michigan} was such a pleasure to shoot.   We had an all star crew and  it was a gorgeous day in Santa Barbara at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel. Photographer Elizabeth Messina worked her magic, we had incredible models from Wilhelmina  LA,  stylist Catherine Sheppard of The Life Styled styled dresses from Marchesa, Delphine Manivet, Claire Pettibone, Christos, Pronovias and Junko Yoshioka.  It was work-heaven.

 

Hair and Makeup notes:  Our model Sarah had the most amazing porcelain skin and white-blonde hair, so easy to over power her fairness!  To get her look, try Dior 5 couleurs shadow in Earth Reflection, NARS blush in Sex Appeal, Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating lip color in Plumetis.  To combat dry skin, serum and moisturizer from Hydropeptide does the trick.  To soften dry and brittle hair without heaviness, try Leave In conditioner by Bumble and Bumble

One of the funnest weeks I’ve had all year was working with NYC’s  ‘The Selby‘ for the Nordstrom ‘Holiday Gift Personalities’ campaign, featuring select  Seattle artists and their creative spaces.  Check out a few of my favorites below, and the rest here.  Truly interesting/inspired people, pretty great stuff.
