Oscar night!!  There was a big buzz  in Hollywood on February 26th 2012, marking the most fabulous night of the year!  Everyone tunes in and the camera’s tell what hair and makeup trends we should look out for.  I feel very blessed to have had two amazing clients for the Oscar’s this year, Amelia Nardinelli and producer Judith Helfand, honoring their Oscar nominated short documentary ‘Daughter from Danang’.

Most important tip for creating a beautiful, long lasting makeup..  good skin prep.  Consider doing a hydration mask the night before the event.   I’ve listed some of my favorite products below to help you achieve the glowing skin and big time beauty seen on the red carpet..

Amelia and I, at Le Montrose Hotel in West Hollywood..

Starting with clean dry skin:  HydroPeptide Cellular renewal serum + Face Repair and Protect to plump up the skin, and provide deep hydration.  HydroPeptide Eye to banish dark circles and puffiness, and Lip plumper and smoother.  NARS Pro Prime to fill in fine lines and give a flawless base.

Here is what I used on Amelia to create my favorite red carpet look, a cleaner version of  Classic Hollywood.  Strobe Cream by MAC, Bobbi Brown Luminous Moisturizing Foundation, Laura Mercier Camoflage Concealer duo, Dior Skinflash in Candle Light,  NARS Multiples in Copacabana and Orgasm, Stila Convertible Color in Camelia, Laura Mercier Eye Basic in Flax, Gel eyeliner by MAC in Dipdown and Blacktrack, Dior 3 Coleurs Eyeshadows in Smoky Brown, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, Maybelline Falsies WP Mascara in Black w/ individual false lashes, Laura Mercier Redwood Lipstick (Amelia’s Fave) and liner.
